Microconidia: Usually absent.

 

Macroconidia: Very long, and curved in a sickle shape, with dorsal surface more bent than ventral. Apical cell elongated and whip-shaped, with foot-shaped basal cell.

 

Conidiophores: Unbranched and branched monophialides.

 

Chlamydospores: Produced singly, and in chains and clumps

 

Perfect State: Unknown.

 

On PDA: rapid growth, profuse aerial mycelium that is white, often tinged with carmine red. Tan to orange sporodochia may occur in older cultures.
